ADVANCED FEEDBACK
Now Hiring Video Shoppers
To meet the demands of Advanced Feedback’s expanding role as a leading video mystery shopping provider along with our traditional mystery shopping services and dominant position with phone shops, we are seeking intelligent and hard working individuals to join our team.
To be considered for video mystery shopping assignments we expect you to have proven yourself first as a professional traditional mystery shopper. You must be passionate about making a difference in customer service, observant, attentive to detail, and write well. To be an effective video shopper you will need to complete video training; practice and perfect the use of your body worn equipment to deliver steady, unobstructed, and properly framed customer experiences; demonstrate technical competence with video and audio file management and online transfers; and provide consistent, intelligent role-playing so as not to influence your target’s natural tendencies and typical performance.
If you think you have what it takes to be a professional Advanced Feedback Video Specialist, complete the Video Shopper Profile found under certifications on your Shop Metrics or Gigspot home page. If you are not registered with Advanced Feedback shopper return to the Shoppers Home Page and click Apply, or use the Get Started button below.
Now Hiring Video Shoppers
Open Video Jobs
As video shops become available they will be listed on our video shop spreadsheet by state and mapped to assist planning your routes. Most projects are scheduled in Shop Metrics, MobiAudit, or Gigspot app, but not all, so please check the video shop spreadsheet often.
Video Certification and Email Notifications
Please note that most video assignments are now scheduled within ShopMetrics. You must complete the Video Shopper Profile found under certifications in Shop Metrics (or Gigspot) for your application to be seen in this system. Notification and recruiting emails may originate from any of the following accounts: notifications@ShopMetrics.com, notifications@gigspot.com, and a variety of scheduler email addresses @advancedfeedback.com. For this reason it is important to make sure you watch for such emails and adjust your email spam filter accordingly. You may also follow our Facebook video page; however, we do not use this page to administer the high volume of video shops now available across the US. Please refer to our video maps for better visibility.
Finding Jobs in Shop Metrics
Once you are logged into Shop Metrics and viewing your home page, click the Open Opportunites link in the left hand margin. To view jobs outside your immediate area you must click “The postal code and distance below are set according to your profile. Click here to reset and show all opportunities.” just above your inbox. The subsequent view will allow you to filter by shop type such as video. See this navigational guide for more instructions. Shop Metrics jobs are also listed on MSJobBoard and in Gigspot.
Video Shopping Resources
We recommend using body worn cameras such as the Lawmate DVR and button camera. A button camera is the most flexible application for most situations. When you are in a one-on-one covert situation when standing or walking, a button camera provides the best viewing experience and completely hidden (using a proper customized shirt). Sales and distribution of Lawmate cameras include Lawmate-technology or PI Mall. Another body worn option is the camera glasses, as found on Amazon. With seated situations, such as in a car, camera glasses have an advantage. However, viewing experience can be poor if you move your head drastically, plus wearing the glasses can be obvious during long interactions.
Typically, we hire video shoppers as independent contractors, so we do not provide training or equipment advice to maintain our contractor relationship. However, based on the products received from IC’s and employees, here are some general equipment observations:
– Button Cameras (e.g., Lawmate): Versatile for most jobs, though expensive. They require tailored clothing, proper button alignment for level angles, and practice with body positioning. Video files typically cap at 10 minutes but provide continuous recording.
– Covert Camera Eyeglasses: Inexpensive and effective for quick-service locations like counter restaurants. However, they can be unreliable and visually obvious depending on the user and frame style. They require practice to minimize head movement and keep the target in view. File lengths may be limited, but they usually record continuously.
– Pens and Clips: Functional, but you must secure the camera and maintain target focus. These devices typically have a narrow field of view and generate short files that need to be merged.
– Smart Glasses: Offer excellent video and audio quality, but all light indicators must be disabled. Note that some models require manually restarting the recording after each file, which may not be feasible during a shop.
